Rent Collection Policy

Paying Rent on Time Keeps Our Community Strong

Timely rent payments help the Housing Authority provide quality housing, maintenance services, and community improvements. Residents are responsible for paying rent by the established due date and understanding the procedures for late payments and returned checks.

Quick Highlights

  • Rent is due on or before the 1st of each month.
  • Pay by money order, cashier's check, or personal check only — cash is not accepted.
  • Returned checks are assessed a $50.00 fee, and future payments must be by money order or cashier's check.
  • Final deadline is the 10th of each month (3:00 p.m. if it falls on a weekend/holiday).
  • A $25.00 late fee applies if rent isn't paid by the 10th.
  • A Notice of Eviction is issued on the 11th day if rent remains unpaid.
